Description:
Context :
I supported the founders of J’ai un pote dans la com in redesigning their visual identity, with the goal of modernizing their brand while preserving the editorial tone and positioning that have made the media well recognized within the creative industry.
Challenge :
The main challenge was to design a logo that is both readable and distinctive, despite a long and complex name, while standing out from the visual codes commonly used by competing media outlets in the communication and design space.
Approach :
As a regular user of the platform, I had a strong understanding of its audience, tone, and references. A competitive analysis helped identify existing visual trends and uncover opportunities for differentiation.
Rather than an extended iterative process, I proposed a direct approach: developing several strong directions quickly in order to identify a clear and relevant solution from the outset.
Concept :
The selected direction is based on a balance between simplicity, clarity, and impact. The visual system relies on a condensed typographic treatment of the name, combined with a graphic approach that reflects the idea of messaging and information flow, aligned with the media’s core DNA.
Result :
The primary proposal was immediately validated by the founders, confirming the alignment between the creative intent and their expectations. The collaboration then expanded into the development of the full visual system across multiple communication touchpoints, strengthening the brand’s consistency and recognition.
