Description:
Context :
I contributed to the visual redesign of the Sciences Po website, a large-scale project involving a high volume of pages and diverse user profiles, including students, researchers, and institutional partners.
Objective :
The main goal was to modernize the interface and improve usability, making navigation more intuitive while ensuring a consistent and cohesive experience across the entire platform.
Role :
Working as Art Director, I was involved across most of the project, from concept definition to the design and application of the visual system throughout the site.
Approach :
To address the complexity of the project, I designed a modular system based on reusable UI components. These building blocks allowed pages to be assembled in a consistent and flexible way, ensuring visual coherence while simplifying long-term maintenance and updates.
Design System :
The system was structured around a set of graphic modules that could adapt to different content types and page layouts. This approach enabled scalability across a large number of pages while maintaining a unified visual language and clear hierarchy of information.
Execution :
The process included initial sketches, concept definition, creation of digital mockups, and iterative development of modules applied across multiple page types. Each iteration was reviewed to ensure both visual consistency and ergonomic efficiency.
Quality & Validation :
Particular attention was given to usability across devices (desktop, tablet, mobile), as well as alignment with the existing brand guidelines. The final design was validated in collaboration with the Sciences Po team.
Result :
The redesign delivered a more coherent, scalable, and user-friendly interface, improving navigation clarity while establishing a flexible design system capable of supporting the site’s continued evolution.
